What does the ClickMechanic warranty cover? Are inspections covered under warranty?
The warranty provided by mechanics in our network is subject to specific conditions. Below are the key requirements that apply to warranty coverage. Mechanics may also offer additional terms or extended warranties at their discretion.
Warranty Conditions:
-
Inspections and Diagnostic Services: Mechanics are not required to provide a warranty for inspections (including pre-purchase inspections) or diagnostic services, as these are based on the vehicle's condition at the time of service.
-
Parts Supplied by the Customer: If parts are supplied by the customer or anyone other than the mechanic, the warranty does not apply.
-
Agreed Exclusions: In certain cases, the customer and mechanic may agree that no warranty will apply, such as when second-hand parts are used due to new parts being unavailable.
Additional Mechanic-Specific Terms:
-
These warranty conditions serve as the minimum standard.
-
Mechanics may choose to provide more favourable warranty terms.
-
As independent businesses, mechanics may establish additional restrictions and procedures for handling warranty claims.
