If your booking is cancelled after the pre-authorisation has been applied and you wish to proceed with the repair using a different mechanic and a new pre-authorisation may not be possible due to insufficient funds.
How Can ClickMechanic Assist You?
We understand this situation can be frustrating. Here’s what we recommend:
- Adjust Your Availability Window – If you wish to proceed with the repair but do not have sufficient funds for another pre-authorisation until the funds are relaced, we suggest updating your availability for when the funds will be released into your account. This is typically five working days.
- Monitor Your Account – Monitor your bank transactions to see when the funds are made available again.
- Contact Your Bank – If the hold remains beyond five working days, contacting your bank can provide clarification and possibly expedite the release.
- Understand That ClickMechanic Cannot Expedite This Process – Unfortunately, ClickMechanic has no control over how quickly banks release pre-authorised funds. This process's speed depends entirely on your bank’s policies and procedures.
