How do I book?

Enter the vehicle registration and postcode on ClickMechanic and select Diagnostic Inspection. Describe what the vehicle is doing in the booking details, including when the problem occurs, any warning lights and whether the fault comes and goes. This helps the independent mechanic prepare and focus their checks.

What happens after the inspection?

The standard time allowed is 0.9 hours (54 minutes). The mechanic will investigate the reported fault, explain the findings and recommend the next step. Some intermittent or complex faults may need further investigation. If that happens, the mechanic should explain what was checked and what further work is recommended.
