How do I create a follow-on booking for extra work? What should I do if a job needs more parts or labour?

A follow-on booking is created when a diagnostic, repair, or service requires additional labour or parts beyond the original scope of work. This must be clearly communicated to the customer along with a full quote for the additional work.

How to Create a Follow-On Quote:

1. Inform the Customer: Explain why extra work is needed and provide a breakdown of labour and parts costs.

2. Create the Quote in ClickMechanic:

   • Enter the required labour time.

   • Include prices for necessary parts.

   • ClickMechanic applies a 20% commission on the parts value.

3. Customer Approval: Once the customer agrees, proceed with the additional work.

4. Invoicing: When all work is complete, issue a single invoice through the ClickMechanic app.
