If a customer's vehicle is not drivable and needs to be transported to your garage, you can apply a recovery fee of £70 to the booking.
Since the Mechanic App does not currently support pre-filled work items for recovery, you’ll need to add them manually under the Parts section of the quote.
🔧 Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Open the relevant booking in the Mechanic App
- Scroll to the “Parts” section
- Tap “Add Part”
- In the Part Name field, enter:
Recovery fee - In the Price field, enter:
70.00 - Tap “Add” to confirm and include it in on the booking.
💡 Important Notes:
- The recovery fee is standardised at £70 — do not change this without prior approval.
- Enter it exactly as shown (Part Name: Recovery fee) to ensure it’s properly recorded.
- Commission will be applied as with all other booking items.
- Do not collect payment directly from the customer for recovery.

Only add the recovery fee when:
- The vehicle is not drivable, and
You have confirmed that the customer agreed to recovery during booking (check notes or confirm directly)
