What Inspections, Services or Repairs are Not Offered by ClickMechanic?

Due to network coverage limitations, the need for specialist equipment, part availability issues, or the complexity of certain jobs, ClickMechanic cannot provide the following services. For these, we recommend contacting a qualified specialist, dealership, or dedicated repair service.

🚫 General Limitations

Labour-Only Repairs – We are unable to assist with repairs where only labour is required and no parts are sourced through ClickMechanic. All bookings must include parts supplied by or through your assigned mechanic to ensure quality, warranty, and compatibility.

🔧 Specialist & Complex Repairs

• Engine & Gearbox Replacement – Not offered. Please consult an engine or transmission replacement specialist.

• Engine & Transmission Rebuilding – Due to high complexity and cost, a dedicated rebuilding service is recommended.

• ABS Pump & ECU Repairs – These systems require specialist diagnostics and component handling.

• Immobiliser Faults & Repairs – Require transponder chip reprogramming; seek a dealership or automotive locksmith.

• Automotive Lock Repairs & Replacements – Many modern keys/locks require programming. A locksmith or dealership is best suited.

🛠️ Structural & Bodywork Services

• Glass Replacement (Windscreen & Windows) – Involves safety-critical bonding; contact a vehicle glazing specialist.

• Bodywork Repairs (Paint & Panels) – Requires controlled environments and colour-matching; use a bodyshop or accident repair centre.

• MOT Structural Repairs (e.g. Welding) – These require specialised equipment and skills.

• Alloy Wheel Refurbishment – Cosmetic and structural wheel repairs are not supported. A wheel refurbishment specialist is recommended.

⚡ Electrical, Audio-Visual & Parking Assistance Services

• Tow Bar Installation – Not currently offered due to part availability and fitting complexity.

• In-Car Entertainment Repairs & Installations – Not supported. This includes:

  • CD players

  • Satellite navigation systems (Satnav)

  • Bluetooth audio and phone modules

  • Touchscreen infotainment systems

  • Aftermarket car stereos, amps, and multimedia units

• Reversing Camera & Parking Sensor Repairs or Installations – We do not offer services for:

  • Rear-view cameras

  • Front or rear parking sensors

  • Proximity detection systems
    These often involve integration with the vehicle’s electrical and infotainment systems. Please consult a parking assist specialist, accessory installer, or dealership.

⛽ Fuel & Mechanical Services

• Incorrect Fuel Draining – This requires specialist draining tools and proper waste handling. Contact a misfuelling service or roadside assistance provider.

🚗 Pre-Purchase Inspections & Older/Imported Vehicles

• Pre-Purchase Inspections on Vehicles Over 25 Years Old – These vehicles vary significantly in wear, condition, and availability of records. A classic vehicle expert should be consulted.

• Pre-Purchase Inspections on Written-Off Vehicles – Due to potential safety risks, we recommend an independent accident damage assessor.

• Inspections & Repairs on Imported Vehicles – These can involve non-standard parts and systems. Contact a dealership or specialist in imported vehicles.

• Repairs on Vehicles Over 25 Years Old – Classic car servicing requires specific knowledge and rare parts; not supported by our network.
