What if I’m unavailable for a requested booking time, as a mechanic?
Yes! If you are interested in a booking but the requested date or time does not work for you, you can suggest an alternative. Follow these steps:

Click 'Offer Alternative' on the booking request.

Select the dates and times that work for you.

Note that you cannot select times the customer has already requested—if you're available for those, simply go back and accept the booking.

If you want to automatically accept the booking if the customer agrees, tick the 'Auto Accept' box.

If you prefer to confirm manually, leave the box unchecked (note that another mechanic may take the booking in the meantime).

Click 'Submit' to send your offer to the customer.

What happens next?

The customer will receive your alternative offer.

If they accept, you will be notified.

If you selected Auto Accept, the booking will be confirmed immediately.

If you opted for manual confirmation, you will receive an email, and you’ll need to accept the booking manually in the ClickMechanic app.
