How do I change my assigned mechanic? I don’t want this mechanic, can I get another one? What happens if I don’t want the mechanic who accepted my booking?
Yes, you can request to change the mechanic assigned to your booking. However, the ability to switch mechanics depends on when you make the request and whether the appointment is within the next 24 hours.
Changing Mechanics Within 1 Hour of Booking Acceptance
If you’re not happy with the mechanic who accepted your booking, contact us within one hour, and we’ll do our best to reassign your booking to another mechanic.
Changing Mechanics After 1 Hour
•More than 24 hours before the appointment: You can request a change with no cancellation fee, and any pre-authorised payment will be released.
• Less than 24 hours before the appointment: A cancellation fee will apply, as per our cancellation policy.
How Pre-Authorisations Work
•When a mechanic accepts your booking, the pre-authorised payment is linked to that mechanic.
•If you change mechanics, the original pre-authorisation will be cancelled, and a new one will be placed under the new mechanic’s name.
•There may be a brief period where funds appear held before being released back to your account.
